The idea is to paint the surface when it gets extra smooth so that the effects of sanding cannot be felt any longer. Sometimes, you will also require a drywall patch. This happens when a child brushes the doorknob in.
Bigger dent for a better repair
For such a fissure, it is recommended to dent the fissure even more. A bigger lacuna is required as it lets the joint compound stick in properly. Register the patch now. The patch will stick well to the compound and thus clean up the aesthetic loss of face. Also, do not sand too much, just as we had suggested earlier.
